Abstract

Abstrak   

Perkembangan teknologi cloud computing telah memberikan perubahan besar dalam pengelolaan data digital, baik pada tingkat individu maupun organisasi. Salah satu layanan berbasis cloud yang banyak digunakan adalah iCloud milik Apple, yang menyediakan platform terpadu untuk penyimpanan serta sinkronisasi data bagi pengguna perangkat iOS. Penelitian ini muncul dari kebutuhan pengguna untuk mengelola data secara lebih efisien di berbagai perangkat, sekaligus mengatasi keterbatasan kapasitas penyimpanan lokal. Permasalahan utama yang dikaji yaitu bagaimana iCloud berperan dalam meningkatkan efisiensi penyimpanan serta konsistensi sinkronisasi data digital penggunanya. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah mengevaluasi kontribusi iCloud sebagai layanan berbasis cloud dalam meningkatkan keandalan, efektivitas, dan efisiensi pengelolaan data. Metode yang digunakan adalah studi literatur dengan menelaah buku, artikel jurnal, dan prosiding terkait sistem informasi dan cloud computing yang terindeks Scopus dan SINTA. Berdasarkan hasil kajian, iCloud terbukti dapat meningkatkan efisiensi penggunaan penyimpanan melalui mekanisme virtualisasi, sekaligus memungkinkan sinkronisasi data secara real-time di antara perangkat iOS dengan tingkat keandalan yang tinggi. Dengan demikian, pemanfaatan layanan berbasis cloud seperti iCloud memberikan dampak positif terhadap aspek efisiensi, keamanan, serta produktivitas dalam pengelolaan data digital bagi pengguna iOS.

Abstract  

The development of cloud computing has significantly transformed how individuals and organizations manage digital data. One of the most widely used implementations of this technology is Apple’s iCloud service, which functions as an integrated platform for data storage and synchronization among iOS users. This research is motivated by the need for efficient data management across multiple devices and challenges related to limited local storage capacity. The main problem addressed is how iCloud contributes to improving the efficiency of digital data storage and synchronization. The purpose of this study is to analyze the role of iCloud as a cloud-based platform in enhancing the reliability, efficiency, and effectiveness of data management. The research method employed is a literature review involving books, journals, and conference proceedings related to information systems and cloud computing indexed in Scopus and SINTA. The findings indicate that iCloud improves storage efficiency through virtualization-based resource optimization and supports real-time synchronization across iOS devices with a high level of reliability. In conclusion, the use of cloud-based services such as iCloud provides positive impacts on efficiency, security, and productivity in digital data management for iOS users.
